Jakarta, Feb. 13 -- The Indonesian government has offered to host the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Global South Forum in the coming year.

The forum, organized by UNESCO, aims to promote the development and use of AI technology for developing countries in Asia, Africa, and the South Pacific.

Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria noted in the ministry's press release received here on Thursday that this proposal was based on Indonesia's achievement as the first country in Southeast Asia to complete UNESCO's Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM).
