Jakarta, Sept. 4 -- Indonesia reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable aviation by promoting the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), Ambassador to Canada and Permanent Representative to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Muhsin Syihab has said.
Syihab made the statement while presenting his credentials to ICAO Secretary General Juan Carlos Salazar in Montreal, Canada, on Wednesday.
With ICAO's support, Indonesia can become a major hub and supplier of SAF in the Asia-Pacific and beyond, he said in a written statement on Thursday.
"We're ready to work with the ICAO Council, Secretariat, and member states to advance sustainable aviation," he added.
