Jakarta, Jan. 19 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation is advancing the use of bioavtur-an aviation biofuel-as part of efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the national air transportation sector.

Head of the Ministry's Transportation Environmental Governance Division Dodhy Wiboso said the aviation industry plays a strategic role in achieving Indonesia's emission reduction targets.

"Bioavtur is part of our effort to achieve low-emission air transportation.
