Jakarta, Feb. 11 -- The Environment Ministry (KLH) has deployed a team to investigate the suspected pollution of the Cisadane River due to a pesticide warehouse fire in South Tangerang on Monday (Feb 9).

"Yes, the KLH team is currently in the field," said Rasio Ridho Sani, an official of the ministry, to ANTARA in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Previously, it was suspected that river pollution was caused by a pesticide warehouse fire in Taman Tekno, Setu, South Tangerang City on Monday (Feb 9).

Earlier reports suggested that the river pollution was linked to a fire at a pesticide warehouse in Taman Tekno, Setu, South Tangerang City.

The blaze allegedly caused significant environmental damage, with the nearby river reportedly contaminated.
