Jakarta, Jan. 3 -- The Indonesian government has prepared a post-disaster recovery program for the livestock sector following recent floods and landslides in several parts of Sumatra.
"We are identifying all affected livestock, including chickens, cattle, and goats. For the livestock sector, we have a post-disaster recovery program to provide assistance," Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono said in a statement on Saturday.
He said the government is committed to addressing the disaster's impact on livestock in Sumatra, starting with comprehensive data collection to ensure sustainable recovery for affected farmers.
