Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- Indonesia's government has pledged to facilitate and protect Jordanian citizens visiting the country, whether as tourists, investors, or business travelers, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra said on Wednesday.

Speaking after a meeting with Jordanian Ambassador Sudqi Al Omoush, he highlighted Indonesia's commitment to assisting Jordanians with administrative and population matters, despite their relatively small presence in Indonesia.

"We are ready to assist if they face any difficulties," Mahendra said, noting around 200 Jordanian families currently reside in the country.
