Jakarta, June 26 -- Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to a free and active foreign policy amid the current escalation of geopolitical conflict.

"I convey that Indonesia upholds the principle of being free and active, both in the political and economic context," Sri Mulyani posted on her Instagram account on Wednesday (June 25).

The minister made the statement during a media interview on the sidelines of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Annual Meeting in Beijing.

During the interview, she discussed the current geopolitical climate and its effects on the economy, Federal Reserve policy, and the current state of Indonesia's State Budget.
