Badung, Bali, Dec. 2 -- The Directorate General of Immigration and Udayana University (Unud) in Bali have agreed to establish an Indonesian Immigration Research Center to support both academic and practical development in immigration management.
"We need support and input from academics to carry out oversight functions for foreign nationals," said Eko Budianto, the Immigration's Director of Visa and Travel Documents, here on Tuesday.
The center, named the Indonesian Immigration Policy and Analysis Center (Impact), will operate under the Faculty of Law at Unud. It is designed as a collaborative research platform linking practical immigration needs in the field with legal theory.
