Jakarta, Oct. 25 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Environment has launched a National Waste Cleanup Movement to boost collaboration and accelerate the country's shift toward modern waste management.
Thousands joined the initiative across multiple regions, including Sumedang, Lebak, Bulukumba, Tangerang, Cimahi, Sorong, Cilegon, and Cianjur, representing government institutions, schools, community groups, and the public.
"Waste management cannot be done alone. Cooperation between central and regional governments, alongside community participation, is essential," Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said.
He added that strong collaboration is key to sustaining environmental cleanliness and restoring natural functions.
