Jakarta, Jan. 27 -- The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is developing a breakthrough digital platform for souvenirs integrated with leading domestic products.

Director General of Hajj and Umrah Economic Ecosystem Development at the ministry, Jaenal Effendi, said that many souvenirs sold in Saudi Arabia, such as prayer beads and prayer rugs, are actually produced in Indonesia.

Therefore, the ministry aims to cut the supply chain so pilgrims can purchase products directly from local producers without buying them in the Holy Land.
