Jakarta, May 17 -- Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono stated that cooperation between Indonesia and Italy is a crucial element in efforts to achieve food security and promote maritime economic growth.
During a meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Indonesia, Roberto Colamine, in Jakarta on Friday, he emphasized that the Indonesian government is prioritizing the green economy, technological self-sufficiency, and the strengthening of national industries.
"Indonesia is currently working to modernize its fishing fleet to strengthen food security and support the sustainable growth of the maritime economy," he remarked, according to a statement from his ministry.
