Jakarta, June 12 -- The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) is opening up opportunities for investors to participate in the development of the National Salt Industry Center Area (K-SIGN) in Rote Ndao, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Director of Marine Resources at the ministry's Directorate General of Marine Management, Frista Yorhanita, said the ministry plans to develop K-SIGN over an area spanning 10,000 to 13,000 hectares.

However, due to limited budget resources, the government is inviting investors to participate in the development.

"The government's budget is limited, so we will invite investors," she said at the ministry's office here on Wednesday.
