Jakarta, April 10 -- Indonesia continues to make progress in its resilience against terrorism, as reflected in its new ranking in the 2025 Global Terrorism Index (GTI), according to the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT).

During a discussion on the 2025 GTI followed virtually from Jakarta on Thursday, Deputy for International Cooperation at the BNPT, Andhika Chrisnayudhanto, highlighted that Indonesia has maintained a medium-to-low impact of terrorism in the past few years.

In the 2025 GTI, which assesses terrorism prevalence in countries throughout 2024, Indonesia achieved a score of 4.17, placing it 30th among 163 countries. This is an improvement from the previous GTI report, which ranked the country 28th.
