Jakarta, June 29 -- The Ministry for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) is holding a national coordination meeting to formulate steps for strengthening the protection of migrant workers in a comprehensive and integrated manner.
"This meeting aims to align our priorities and strategic direction," said P2MI Minister Abdul Kadir Karding during the event, which took place in Jakarta on Saturday.
The two-day meeting, running from June 28 to 29, will focus on strategies for achieving placement targets for migrant workers, as well as mechanisms for preventing illegal labor migration.
The discussion also highlights the importance of collaboration between regional and village governments in empowering returning migrant workers....
