Jakarta, Dec. 25 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Religious Affairs said the 2025 Christmas celebration, themed "God Is Present to Save the Family," serves as a foundation to rebuild healthy and meaningful relationships, particularly within families.

Antonius Sinaga, head of Catholic Community Guidance at the ministry's Jakarta Regional Office, said the theme reflects God's love amid difficulties and offers a basis for restoring healthy family relationships.

He said the concept of salvation is not limited to a historical narrative but is present in challenges faced by modern families, including economic pressures, mental health issues and intergenerational relations.
