Jakarta, Feb. 9 -- Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar stated that Indonesia has evolved from being solely a market for toys and comics to becoming a producer and innovator in the global ecosystem.

Umar made this remark at the Jakarta 20th Toys & Comics Fair, held at Balai Kartini, here on February 8-9, 2025. The annual event serves as a meeting platform for creators, collectors, and fans of toys and comics from domestic and abroad.

This year, the exhibition featured 200 booths, with 25 percent originating from abroad, reflecting Indonesia's appeal as a creative industry hub internationally.
