Jakarta, Feb. 25 -- Secretary of the Security Council of Russia, Sergei Shoigu, has invited Indonesia to the 2025 edition of Army, an annual international military-technical forum, which is scheduled to take place in the next few months in Russia.

Shoigu extended the invitation during a meeting with Minister of Defense, Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, at the headquarters of the Defense Ministry in Central Jakarta on Tuesday.

"Indonesia has been invited to attend the event, which draws participation from 100 countries every year," head of the ministry's information bureau, Brigadier General Frega Ferdinand Wenas Inkiriwang, said.

He added that the invitation reflects the success of Indonesia and Russia in maintaining harmonious relations.
