Jakarta, April 13 -- The Indonesian government has received confirmation of an additional quota of 2,210 Hajj officers from the Saudi Arabian authorities.

With this addition, the number of Indonesian Hajj officers for the 1446 Hijri/2025 AD hajj is recorded at 4,420 people.

"We have received an additional allocation of one percent, or 2,210. We will optimize this to provide the best service to Hajj pilgrims," Religious Affairs Minister Nasaruddin Umar said here Sunday.

Initially, Indonesia received a quota allocation of one percent of the total Hajj pilgrim quota (221,000 people) or 2,210 officers for Hajj officials.

This additional Hajj officer quota is the result of Umar's negotiation with the relevant authorities.
