Jakarta, Feb. 11 -- State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi stated that the Indonesian government is finalizing its plan to deploy thousands of troops for peacekeeping missions in the Gaza Strip under the Board of Peace (BoP).
While the concrete deployment process is under discussion, Hadi confirmed that the number of Indonesian troops involved in the mission will be 8,000.
"The number of personnel we possibly will deploy to Gaza is around 8,000," Hadi stated here on Tuesday.
The minister also clarified that the location of deployment is not final, despite earlier reports that Indonesian troops would be assigned to Rafah in southern Gaza.
