Cirebon, West Java, Oct. 26 -- The Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) expressed the government's confidence that the Red and White Fishermen Villages (KNMP) program will improve the welfare of fishermen and ultimately stimulate economic growth in coastal regions.

KKP Director General of Capture Fisheries Lotharia Latif underlined that President Prabowo Subianto has designated KNMP as one of his flagship programs to strengthen people's economic self-reliance.

"The KNMP program and the revitalization of ports are projected to drive economic growth, create employment opportunities, and elevate the living standards of Indonesian fishermen," he remarked in Cirebon City, West Java, on Sunday.
