Jakarta, Jan. 31 -- The Indonesian government is facing challenges in boosting investment and managing geopolitical issues, an official said on Friday.

"The government faces challenges every day, both at home and abroad," said Philips Vermonte, spokesperson for the Presidential Communication Office (PCO).

He explained that achieving the national economic growth target of 8 percent requires improvements across various sectors.

"We must address our challenges by enhancing competitiveness, improving efficiency, and attracting investment," he noted.
