Jakarta, June 17 -- Indonesian Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas has expressed hope that Singapore's Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) will expedite the trial process for corruption fugitive Paulus Tannos, also known as Thian Po Tjhin.
The AGC, on Monday (June 16), stated that the Singapore court rejected Tannos' request for bail and ordered him to remain in custody.
"The extradition process for Paulus Tannos from Singapore to Indonesia is becoming clearer. Therefore, we can soon proceed with the extradition," Agtas stated on Tuesday.
The committal hearing for Tannos' extradition is scheduled to take place in Singapore from June 23 to 25.
