Jakarta, Jan. 28 -- Indonesia is seeking to attract global investment in the maritime and fisheries sector through the Ocean Impact Summit (OIS) 2026, which is scheduled to take place in Bali on June 8-9.

Head of the Multilateral Cooperation Team at the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Desri Yanti said OIS 2026 will be held with the support of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and is expected to serve as a platform for Indonesia to establish direct access to global investors and business players.

"We hope this event can generate investment commitments in the maritime and fisheries sector, as well as partnerships with the private sector for the blue economy," she said during a press conference here on Wednesday.
