Jakarta, Oct. 7 -- Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia has set a target for Indonesia to achieve 80 percent progress toward its energy self-sufficiency goal by 2029.
"We are seeking to increase oil and gas lifting and to optimally utilize all energy sources that our country has. God willing, in 2029-2030, we can realize at least 80 percent energy self-sufficiency," he said here on Tuesday.
Lahadalia noted that to achieve the target, the government will not rely solely on the state budget but will also collaborate with the private sector and state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
