Jakarta, July 4 -- The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has mapped out Indonesia's energy commodity purchases from the United States, valued at US$15.5 billion, consisting of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and crude oil.
"We will increase our LPG imports from the US, along with crude oil for domestic needs," ESDM Deputy Minister Yuliot Tanjung stated on Friday.
He noted that Indonesia has imported crude from the United States through other countries. With an energy spending budget of US$15.5 billion, he expects crude oil transactions to be made directly with the US, as part of Indonesia's tariff negotiations.
