Tangerang, Banten, Dec. 23 -- Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana said the government projects around 1.45 million foreign tourists will visit Indonesia during the year-end Christmas and New Year holiday period.
Speaking during her visit to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on Tuesday, she added that domestic tourist movements are expected to reach 128 million over the same period.
"We estimate some 3.4 million (of the projected tourists) will travel by air," Wardhana stated.
The minister said that Bali, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta are among the cities expected to be the most visited during the year-end holiday.
