Jakarta, Dec. 21 -- Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono has ensured that live cattle stocks and prices at the producer level remain stable ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year holidays.
Speaking at the working meeting of the Indonesian Cattle Breeders and Fatteners Association (APPSI) in Bogor, West Java, on Saturday, Sudaryono emphasized that cattle prices at the farm gate are currently below the government's reference price.
"Current stocks are sufficient, and prices at the producer level range from Rp52,000 to Rp53,000 (around US$3.17) per kilogram of body weight. This is lower than the reference price," he said in a statement on Sunday.
