Jakarta, March 31 -- Indonesia's Health Ministry guarantees that health facilities in Indonesia will remain operational throughout the Eid al-Fitr holiday, its spokesperson, Widyawati, said on Monday.

She said that the ministry has issued a circular regarding preparedness for health services during the holiday to regional authorities and hospitals.

It has readied the Public Safety Center (PSC 119) -the Indonesian health emergency services number- and Emergency Medical Team (EMT) services.

The ministry has instructed each region to form a health team and health service posts in certain locations, including in accident-prone and tourism sites.
