Jakarta, July 7 -- The Indonesian government expressed full support for the new direction of cooperation among BRICS members, as outlined in the Rio Declaration adopted by their leaders during the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, who accompanied President Prabowo Subianto at a plenary session on Sunday (July 6), highlighted that the leaders' declaration addresses a broad array of issues of shared concern.
"The leaders' declaration sets forth a number of key points, including one related to the need to strengthen multilateralism and pursue reforms in global governance," he noted in a statement received in Jakarta on Monday.
