Jakarta, April 1 -- The Indonesian National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) sent a search and rescue (SAR) team to assist in evacuating victims of the earthquake in Myanmar.
"Today, the SAR team will be dispatched. It consists of 53 personnel assisted by security and one Boeing 747 aircraft belonging to the Indonesian Air Force," BNPB Head Suharyanto remarked at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, Tuesday.
Departing Jakarta at 10:00 a.m. Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7), the Indonesian SAR team will reach Myanmar within a short time.
