Jakarta, June 14 -- The South Jakarta immigration office deported a Yemeni national, identified by his initials FSA, after he was sentenced to over three years in prison starting in August 2021 for drug abuse, an official stated.

He was deported through Soekarno Hatta International Airport on Friday, June 13, 2025, and banned from entering Indonesia, the immigration office head, Bugie Kurniawan, told journalists here, Friday.

FSA was arrested by police in Badung District, Bali Province, on August 12, 2021, for consuming 0.85 grams of crystal methamphetamine. He was subsequently tried in a district court on the Indonesian resort island.
