Jakarta, July 2 -- The Class I Immigration Office of North Jakarta has deported two Chinese nationals, identified by the initials ZM and ZY, for posing as investors operating fictitious companies to obtain stay permits.
"The two foreigners were immediately deported to their country of origin since they had no sponsors for a stay permit," said Widya Anusa Brata, head of the office's Supervision and Immigration Enforcement Section, in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He noted that the decision was made after the Ministry of Investment confirmed the companies they claimed to own were fraudulent.
