Jakarta, Sept. 6 -- Indonesian immigration authorities have deported a Moroccan national, identified as NE, who was on Morocco's wanted list for theft, violence, and child abduction, the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections said Saturday.

Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman said the deportation followed an international arrest warrant issued on May 28 and a formal request from the International Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

"This fugitive kept moving around to avoid detection. With strong coordination with Polri, we traced NE from Lombok and arrested him in Jakarta," Yusman said in a statement.
