Banda Aceh, Dec. 3 -- The Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL) has deployed several warships to accelerate the distribution of humanitarian aid to flood-affected communities in Aceh.
"We hope the arrival of these warships will accelerate the distribution of aid to all flood-affected areas," said Murthalamuddin, spokesperson for the Aceh Hydrometeorological Disaster Emergency Response Command Post, on Wednesday.
The operation is being led by the Dansatfib Koarmada I, who oversees coordination of all warships involved in the mission.
Murthalamuddin said ships were dispatched on different routes across flood-hit areas of Aceh to support the humanitarian operation.
