Jakarta, Nov. 23 -- Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (KP2MI) has confirmed that the case of Seni, a migrant worker from Temanggung, Central Java, who allegedly experienced severe exploitation while working in Malaysia, is being handled properly.
In his statement on Saturday (11/22), Minister of P2MI Mukhtarudin emphasized that the government will try to provide protection when Indonesian migrant workers are treated inhumanely or experience exploitation abroad.
"We are paying serious attention to this case. The government will ensure that every migrant worker receives full protection and restoration of their rights," he said.
