Jakarta, Aug. 28 -- Indonesia demands an explanation from Timor Leste regarding the near-fatal shooting of an Indonesian in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) amidst a land and border dispute in the Indonesia-Timor Leste border, according to the Foreign Ministry.
In response to the incident, Indonesian Ambassador in Timor Leste Okto Dorinus Manik has inspected the incident site and coordinated with local authorities, ministry spokesperson Vahd Nabyl A. Mulachela said.
"The Indonesian Embassy in Dili has also demanded a clarification from the Timorese Foreign Ministry regarding the incident," Mulachela stated in response to queries from ANTARA on Wednesday.
