Jakarta, Oct. 17 -- Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya announced that the creative economy's contribution to national export growth in 2024 reached Rp400 trillion (US$25 billion), contributing more than 9 percent of total national exports.

"The export value from the creative economy sector by the end of 2024 absorbed 26.5 million workers, the majority of whom are young people and women," he informed in a press statement on Friday.

He then stated that the creative economy sector is a key driver of national export growth.

In 2025, his ministry is targeting an increase in exports to US$26 billion, an increase of $1 billion from the previous year.

Investment in the creative economy continues to grow, totaling Rp90 trillion (...
