Jakarta, June 24 -- The Indonesian government is exploring the possibility of adding Brazil to the list of countries eligible for its visa-free visit (BVK) facility.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Coordinating Ministry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections said Indonesia remains open to expanding the BVK list, provided the decision aligns with national interests.

"The granting of the BVK facility should be based on mutual benefits," said Agato Simamora, Assistant Deputy for Immigration Service Strategies at the ministry, during a meeting with other officials on Monday.
