Jakarta, July 18 -- Indonesia has condemned Israel's airstrike on the Holy Family Church in the Gaza Strip, calling it a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, human decency, and the sanctity of places of worship.

"Indonesia condemns the attack on the Holy Family Church in Gaza, the only Catholic Church in Gaza, which resulted in the loss of innocent civilian lives," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) said in a post on platform X on Friday.

The ministry emphasized that religious sites, medical facilities, and all civilian infrastructure must not be targeted and are protected under international law.
