Jakarta, June 13 -- Indonesia's Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono condemned Israeli strikes against Iran early on Friday.

According to the minister, the Israeli action amounts to a violation of the law and undermines the foundation of international law.

"We are aware of this, and we condemn the attack," he told the media on Friday.

The Foreign Minister said the attack would have implications and worsen the situation if all parties involved do not restrain themselves.

He added that his ministry will continue to monitor the situation.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed that the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran is currently contacting Indonesian citizens in Iran to check their condition and safety.
