Jakarta, May 9 -- Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid has emphasized the Indonesian government's commitment to building and strengthening the 5G infrastructure and ecosystem nationally and in the Asia-Pacific region.

She conveyed this during a meeting with the head of Asia-Pacific of mobile ecosystem organization GSMA, Julian Gorman, in Jakarta on Thursday.

"We are not only focusing on building networks, but also building trust," she said in a press release issued in Jakarta on Friday.

Hafid informed that her ministry is currently working to simplify the industry and preparing a spectrum auction to accelerate 5G connectivity in Indonesia.
