Tangerang, Banten, July 11 -- The Ministry for the Protection of Migrant Workers has reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the children and families of Indonesian migrant workers who remain at home while their parents work abroad.

The ministry's Director of Reintegration and Family Empowerment, Hadi Wahyuningrum, stated that protecting the families of migrant workers is a core mandate and obligation of the government.

"Our goal is to show that the government is present. Under Minister Abdul Kadir Karding, and in line with President Prabowo Subianto's directive, the Ministry has been entrusted with two mandates," Wahyuningrum said on Friday.
