Jakarta, March 7 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Industry has issued domestic component level (TKDN) certificates for 20 Apple products, including the latest iPhone 16, allowing them to be legally sold in the country.
The ministry's spokesperson, Febri Hendri Antoni Arif, stated on Friday that the 20 certificates comprise 11 TKDN certificates for mobile phone products and nine TKDN certificates for tablet computer products.
The Ministry of Industry's Domestic Product Development Center (P3DN) signed each TKDN certificate after Apple resolved past defaults from 2020 to 2023 by adhering to regulations related to TKDN policies, namely, the Industry Minister Regulation Number 29 of 2017.
