Jakarta, Sept. 22 -- The Indonesian government on Monday claimed that its Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program has reached 1.2 million of the 9.3 million targeted recipients among pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and toddlers this year.

However, Minister of Population and Family Development Wihaji acknowledged that his ministry continues to face challenges, particularly for Family Assistance Teams (TPK) tasked with reaching recipients in remote areas.

"We will evaluate the implementation of the MBG program for these groups. If there are problems, as reported in the media, we will work to ensure they don't happen again and will continue monitoring closely," he said.
