Belem, Brazil, Nov. 15 -- Indonesia's parliament and government have taken concrete steps to confront climate change, Regional Representatives Council (DPD) Speaker Sultan Baktiar Najamudin said Friday, insisting the country is "walking the talk" at the UN's COP30 climate summit in Belem, Brazil.

Najamudin told reporters at Indonesia's pavilion that global emissions continue to rise largely because many countries "have not maximized their roles," while Indonesia is strengthening its climate framework through new legislation.
