Jakarta, July 10 -- Indonesia aims to make Government Regulation No. 17 of 2025 on Electronic System Governance for Child Protection (PP Tunas) a global benchmark for online child protection, Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid stated.
The minister presented the regulation to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin during a meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, on Wednesday (July 9).
"PP Tunas reflects Indonesia's commitment to protecting children on the internet to ensure the health and welfare of future generations," she noted in a press release issued in Jakarta on Thursday.
