Jakarta, June 4 -- Indonesia should learn from Chile's experience in completing its accession process to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in a relatively short period, according to Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto.

The minister made this statement following a bilateral meeting with Chile's Vice Minister of Trade Claudia Sanhueza during the 2025 OECD Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM) in Paris on Tuesday (June 3).

"Chile's experience in completing the accession process within a short time can be an important reference for Indonesia," he noted in a statement received here on Wednesday.
