Jakarta, Dec. 21 -- Secretary General of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Tomsi Tohir, highlighted the importance of comprehensive urban governance planning to support sustainable development.

"Our ability to plan cities is essential, including the frameworks, regional regulations, and other supporting rules. We must start to consider the unique characteristics of each city," he said in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday.

He made these remarks during the 2025 Outlook of the Association of Indonesian City Governments (APEKSI) held in Bandar Lampung, Lampung, on Saturday.
