Jakarta, Sept. 19 -- Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas) Arief Prasetyo Adi emphasized the need to maintain both the quality and quantity of the Government Rice Reserves (CBP) to safeguard national food security.
"CBP is a strategic instrument to stabilize food prices, supply, and public access," Arief said during an inspection of a Perum Bulog warehouse in Gampong Siron, Aceh Besar, Aceh, according to a statement released in Jakarta on Friday.
He noted that CBP management by the state logistics agency Bulog follows Presidential Regulation No. 125 of 2022 on Government Food Reserves, which designates CBP as a key tool for price and supply stabilization.
