Jakarta, Dec. 25 -- Indonesia's Ministry of Transportation, in collaboration with the Indonesian Navy, is intensifying maritime safety measures during the Christmas and New Year holiday period through joint patrols, port monitoring, and personnel readiness.

"We are here to provide security and a sense of safety for all Indonesians enjoying the long Christmas and New Year holidays," said Rear Admiral Yayan Sofiyan, Chief of Naval Staff Operations Assistant, on Thursday.
